Thanksgiving
Emmy and Noah helped make a great Thanksgiving dinner! My mother-in-law, Patti, and step-daughter, Kiley, came to visit and we were happy to have them.
As we look back over the year, we have many things to be thankful for: our home and family, the Savior and His gospel, our health, and all our family and friends (to name a few).
"When you get up in the morning, before you suffer yourselves to eat one mouthful of food,... bow down before the Lord, ask Him to forgive your sins, and protect you through the day, to preserve you from temptation and all evil, to guide your steps aright, that you may do something that day that shall be beneficial to the kingdom of God on the earth." Princess
We got adopted by a cat. She was a stray, I started feeding her, and next thing you know, she has taken over the house. She was obviously someone's housecat before, and she is a welcome addition to our family. She is very pretty-pure white with one green eye and one blue. The only name that seemed appropriate was "Princess". The kids love her and even David started buying her "treats" at the store. She enjoys sleeping, eating, and cleaning herself in her spare time.

Emmy's 1st Primary Program!
Our four-year-old Sunbeam, Emily, participated in her first Primary Program on November 8, 2009. She was nervous about walking up to the stage by herself, but luckily, her teacher and her friend Madeleine walked by, so she went up with them. She was the very first one on the program. Her part was to say, "I am a spirit child of Heavenly Father". She knew it inside and out but needed a little help at the microphone. After her part, she promptly sat down on her teacher's lap and fell fast asleep for the rest of the program.

Halloween
We always have fun dressing up. Emmy got to wear her bumblebee costume three times- to her dance class party, to our ward party, and to go trick or treating. She helped make her own headband. This was the first year Noah figured out what was going on with the people-give-you-candy thing. He was pretty excited. David said it was okay if Noah's bunny costume had a little pink on it. I couldn't decide what I wanted to be, so at the last minute, I opted for the bunny idea as well. Who doesn't like bunnies? Adam was a good sport in his monkey costume. We went to see Grandma Emeline and then went trick-or-treating! This year David was Darth Vader, but hurried and took off his costume before I got any pics....
